Knowledge and skill of understanding and changing behavior and cognition through applied direct practice counseling. Excellent active listening and reflective skills to build therapeutic relationships to facilitate a cognitive or behavior change. Refer patients to internal or external resources to provide higher level or continuity of care. Provide effective intervention with all patient diagnosis and problem situations. Explore resistance in patient/families and moving them toward successful outcomes. Keep patient/family updated of any coming transfers while addressing psychosocial needs for STROKE SUVIVORS, TRAMATIC BRAIN INJURIES and SPINAL CORD INJURIES. Perform other duties as required
