Daily Duties at American Lighting:
Responsible for company’s technology infrastructure consisting of 50+ users with 11 servers running Windows XP, Exchange and Mac OS X (1), plus AS 400, Internet, DHCP, VPN, SQL Server and EDI. Oversees systems administration, network administration, web server administration, firewall/security administration, graphics-based support i.e. Auto Cad, data modification (AS 400), logistical maintenance (UPC/SKU knowledge), user/desktop support, system backups, project management, vendor management and negotiation of all service contracts. Manages operations of warehouse with a staff of 12. Report to CFO. • Restructured the DNS Server and created a new Exchange server. Cleaned up old accounts on all the servers, set-up security procedures, and back-ups. • Orchestrated two complete inventory counts of the warehouse. (bi-yearly and end of year) • Implemented Barcode equipment and application. • Work on General Ledger and Accounting entries; A/R , payroll and EDI. • Maintained and created query reports from the AS/400 (Spectrum software) as needed. • Coordinated monthly warehouse meeting, and weekly one on one (optional) meeting with every warehouse employee. In addition, maintain vendor management with various vendors both technical and operational.
