Daily Duties at Glaxo Smith Kline:

Recruit, hire, train, and lead a productive sales force of 15 sales reps and 1 specialty representative. Coach, mentor, and advise staff on all facets of sales and servicing for represented pharmaceutical product portfolio. Support others in effective direct selling techniques and promote quality healthcare decisions. Place significant importance on establishment of solid working relationships with all providers. Serve as the ‘go to’ person for demonstrated expertise and knowledge of managed care market dynamics and formulary status of each promoted product, as well as managed care pull thru strategies. Consult frequently with corporate management on defined business objectives to ensure proper portfolio balance and planned actions. • Created, implemented, and conducted all Regional Development Programs for assigned territory for 5 consecutive years. • Selected by corporate to recruit, train, and place one expansion sales force team in the Pacific Sun Region. • Recognized as first manager to implement the MUSIC Candidate Program (Minority Undergraduate Student Internship). • Facilitated successful launches of at least 12 new products in 6 different disease areas. • Currently working on a 12-month rotation with Human Resources as a Talent Acquisition Manager. Assigned 4 states to recruit personnel for all openings in the area such as Sales Representatives and Managers.
