Daily Duties at Kevex/Spectrace:

Responsible for managing and coordinating all activities for two production departments for a manufacturer of x-ray analytical instruments used for research and medical fields. Performed a full range of supervisory functions that included selecting and training personnel, giving performance appraisals, planning workloads, budgeting, promoting quality and efficiency. Maintain all equipment and safety requirements on production floor and clean room. Responsibilities also included handling customer returns RMA'S of all equipment and answering technical questions over the phone. Identified the causes of production issues and instituted appropriate corrective actions. Developed written test procedures in order to achieve ISO certification. Assisted R&D in the development of new products. Consistently met or surpassed production goals in fast paced environment. Successfully trained new personnel, ordered and setup new equipment, as well as planning and coordinating floor layout for relocation to new facility in Southern California. Demonstrated the ability to interact effectively with employees and customers of many cultures and levels. Completed 80 hour workshop on achieving ISO 9000 certification, which included training in total customer satisfaction and continuous quality improvement teams.
