Daily Duties at Wipro:

NUMA-Q, SMP are multiprocessor multi-threaded SMP system from IBM. They are high performance systems used to run enterprise applications and databases. Dynix/ptx is the operating system which runs on this hardware and provides automatic load balancing and parallelization capabilities to the applications. • Analyzed and fixed complex problems in Kernel and user space programs which were deemed not fixable. • Executed SPIE (Sequent Product Integration and Evaluation) regression test suites to unearth defects and reported problems. • Analyzed defect reports from QA and provide feedback on them. • Analyzed crash dumps of kernel and tools and provided fixes. • Executed SVVS (System V Verification Suite), X/Open (VSC, VSX, VSU) and Unix95 test suites to make OS compliant with available standards. • Provided enhancement to the OS to make it compliant with Unix98 standards. • Mentored new members in the team. • Team was awarded “Excellence in Action” award on achieving the target well before the deadline.
