Daily Duties at Motorola Inc:
Created an environment and willingness of department personnel to work with engineers and technical staff to produce more readable schematics. Condensed display of technical information that previously took several pages. Results: Published guide that met the need s and requirements of engineering professional gaining respect and recognition. Organized each group of components making it easier for the engineers and staff to find parts needed. Learned the part naming convention for Motorola parts to resolve disorganization that was costing hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. Result: Offered a promotion to an engineering research and development team. Analyzed process and designed a production line that used 5 people instead of 12. Three nights a week production team was loosing 75% of the team to classes offered by Motorola. Refined production processes to require fewer workers so team could meet the production schedule. Results: Promoted and offered the opportunity to work with the newest production team. Reviewed center data individually and verified all payments to learn process requirements of each. Worked through each of the cost center budgets and realized that one group of numbers was off. This showed in an over payment to an insurance company, identified the error and made the correction. Results: This lightened the budget for the following year and saved the company one million dollars.
