Daily Duties at U.S. Army Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal:

Successfully managed (18) person team in acquisition of (6) major missile systems with a budget well in excess of $100M. Instructed and trained personnel in government contracting policy, procedures and administration. Possess excellent communication, written and negotiation skills with contractor, government representatives. Compiled, analyzed and presented Acquisition Milestone Charts for ongoing procurement actions. I demonstrated a reputation in meeting deadlines for all contract actions. Identified and resolved various contractual problems and issues. Established and maintained a successful rapport with SES Managers, senior level contractors. Successfully performed acquisition planning, solicitation, evaluation (cost/price analysis), contract Negotiations, post award administration for production equipment, repair parts, extensive technical support services, for US Army equipment and supporting items. Prepared/staffed Command Information Papers, Fact Sheets along with frequent briefings to senior level management on high visibility procurement actions. Wrote a procedure that was adopted by Small Business Office entitled, “How To Contract With Small Disadvantaged Business Firms,” for use by Government Contract Specialists. Contracting Officer $3M without approval, $25M with approval. I was promoted and assigned Supervisory Contracting Officer.
