Daily Duties at Texas Instrument (Contractor):
1st and 2nd level Support. * Give 1st and 2nd level Sysadmin support to users and to over 300 servers Nationally and Internationally via UNIX Solaris 8/9 operating system. Run UNIX commands to replace SUN disks for veritas, SVM Soltice and D1000 disks. Use Sun Support web site to report Sun hardware troubles. Worked with Sun SSE and hardware personnel to resolve hardware alarms and troubles. Use BMC's Patrol Central along with SEV monitoring tool to monitor for server alarms. Familiar with the Remedy ticketing system to work on troubles in queue and create tickets and cmars for problem resolution.
