Daily Duties at Linens N’ Things:

• Analyzed weekly sales reports to identify sales trends and opportunities • Maintained monthly discretionary budget – open to buy • Selected advertised items for bi-monthly fliers and web blasts, and prepared advertising recap financials • Cost effect all markdowns, providing analysis of cost/profit differential • Attended bi-yearly Tabletop market; prepared vendor schedules, provided sales reports, met with existing and new vendors for new buys; current trends and seasonal buys • Networked with vendors in all areas; discover potential new vendors, set up Domestic and Import vendor agreements, negotiated costs, support communication, handled operational issues and troubleshoot problems • Processed and maintained all vendor chargebacks for late or incorrect deliveries • Successfully trained and managed work flow for 3 trainees enrolled in the Assistant Buyer Trainee Program; organized training schedule, managed daily tasks and wrote performance reviews.
