Daily Duties at Ameriprise Financial:
As a financial advisor, I was responsible for building my own client base. My duties included: - calling leads generated by the company and profiling prospective clients - setting up and conducting Lunch and Learn mini seminars to discuss ways financial planning can help prospects - conducted one-on-one appointments to sign clients up for financial plans, and pre-sale for insurance products - assisted manager in closing sales meetings - put together life and disability insurance proposals for sales appointments - put together customized financial plans with the help of a computer program that is used to analyze each client's situation based on data that is input into the program - participated in weekly team meetings, sales meetings, and training Skills I developed good interpersonal skills through spending a great deal of time w/my coworkers at the office, during team meetings, and call out nights. I also learned to speak in front of small groups, and how to profile clients for various sales opportunities using various scripts and training that was provided to me. Obtained Licenses: Life & Health, Series 7 and Series 66
