Daily Duties at Hq Forscom, Us Army:
Systems Administrator for all DMS e-mail for the complete FORSCOM HQ’s as well as 3rd Army, Ft Gillem, and 1st Army (4000+ Users). Administer 8 Exchange Servers – 4 Defense Message Distribution Systems Servers – 2 UNIX MWS Servers, and 4 Defense Message Systems Servers for both the Classified (SIPR) and Unclassified (NIPR) network. Provide all aspects of support from hardware thru software troubleshooting and repair. As Senior Systems Administrator, I was directly responsible for both the front and back-end support of all services to the client. Developed and helped train both the end users as well as the “Messaging Team”. Supervise the installation and configuration for all client software. Project included upgrading both Classified and Unclassified servers and client for the next generation of the DMS/Outlook. This requires a major software upgrade to both the servers and clients. The project required the re-creation of all “Digital Signature Certificates (X509)”. All accomplished with absolutely no downtime.
