Daily Duties at Structural Systems:
Ironworker superintendent - I was responsible for establishing schedules for all projects which included establishing manpower requirements and equipment disbursement to individual projects. This was immediate and long range requirements. 100 to 200 ironworkers and anywere from ten to twenty projects active at all times. I was project manager for all out of state projects. This required travel to multiple sites. I had to establish manpower needs, tools and equipment required and than locate these items for of each of the projects.

Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
