Daily Duties at Custom Building Products:
* Forensic analysis of all CBP products to determine reason or reasons for failure out in the field. * Chemical breakdown of competitor products that would ultimately determine the development of new products or the enhancement of existing products. * Test to make sure products are manufactured correctly and contain the necessary key components present in there proper proportions per/formulation. * Chemical analysis of new polymers and other new raw materials to be used as direct substitutions or alternate raw material source. * Determine flash point of solvent based penetrating sealer materials. * Developed Safety procedures, devised (Emergency Exit plan) (Safety Mgr) for new R&D facility. * Titration test to determine% free calcium in cement. Analytical Instrumentation Used: * Varian GC/MS, MASS Spectrometer 2100 Diffusion Pump. * Thermo Nicolet 4700 FTIR w/ Centaurs Microscope * CDS Pyro Probe 2000 * Metler Toledo Thermal Gravimetric Analysis TGA/SDTA 851-E * Horiba LA-920 Light Scattering, Particle Size Analyzer * Zeta Potential Analytical Instrument
