Daily Duties at Brooks Eckerd:

Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, motivating and mentoring a retail and pharmacy staff in a store with over $2.5 million dollars in annual sales. Transformed a dying store with a reputation for poor customer service; propelled sales from double-digit negative week on week comps to merely single digit negative comps in first months as a store manager. Accomplishments include: · Increased profits by recommending private label brand items and/or additional products or services with a keen ear for the customer’s actual needs and desires and providing outstanding, individualized, memorable customer service; more importantly, trained team members to do same · Developed and implemented training techniques designed to generate interest, excitement, personal accountability, and greater attention to detail, resulting in higher morale, reduced call-outs, fewer price changes, more accurate stock counts, and an atmosphere infused with warmth – which customers not only noticed, but to which they responded in kind

What they like about Brooks Eckerd:

The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there. This is especially important when you are relocating; moving dramatically alters your social sphere both inside and outside the workplace.
