Directly reported to the Director of IT security to execute the objectives of the IT Security Program and to develop initiatives for continuous program improvement. Collaborated with senior management and internal business units to assist them in achieving compliance and maintaining their compliance status as well as to educate them in the role the IT Security Program plays in the process. Contributed to and was responsible for managing a technical team that managed a globally distributed network security infrastructure and responded to computer related incidents in a 24x7x365 operations environment. • Maintained organizational compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and SAS 70 • Initiated the selection and deployment of the first organization-wide Security Information Management System that streamlined the identification and response to anomalous network activity • Developed the organization’s first incident response framework that formalized incident response and digital forensics processes and procedures • Improved the IT Security Program through the development of policies, standards, and procedures and through the identification and implementation of security operations tools and technologies • Maintained 100% uptime for security infrastructure devices that supported public services • Maintained 99.999% uptime for security infrastructure devices that supported internal and customer services
