Daily Duties at Calix Networks, Inc.:
Provided lab support to software and hardware engineers. Purchased test equipment, setup and implimented calibration schedules. Maintained Excel spreadsheet with instrument description, location/assignment, asset and serial numbers, calibration due dates, last repair/upgrade notes. Coordinated lab changes in MSN VISIO 2000 cad program. Designed and built small fixtures for Test engineering. Assembled portable test racks for sofeware engineers, comprised of 48VDC PS, distribution panel, test chassis, tray for a FB310/FB224, Smartbits, etc. Assisted engineers in stress testing new hardware in environmental chambers.Stocked lab with SMD resistors and capacitors, RS232 and RJ21 adapters, RF and all other adapters, SM/SX fiber optic patch cables, CAT3 25 pair RJ21 DS3 coaxial and LAN cables. Arranged test gear to be shipped to away team at client sites. Repaired test stations, researched parts sources for best price per quantity.
