Daily Duties at Fox Valley Metal Tech:
Dimple (mark) weld locations per print on large aluminum sub-assemblies then buff (remove oxidation) as preparation for tacking and fitting of reinforcement bracing. Then tack weld bracing in proper locations (per prints) to sub-assemblies for pilot houses. Also performed other work, unrelated to marine area. Grinding,deburring and finishing work on steel,stainless steel and aluminum parts. Drilling,tapping,countersinking and stamping of part numbers of parts for other customers. all had to be done to print specs. Equipment I have experience with while in their labor force includes overhead crane, forklift, welding stud gun, calipers, dynafiles,DA's,skyjackerlifts(which I used to help others hang 1,000lb air filtration units from ceiling in new building addition) aprox.30 units. Proficient now with those lifts.
