Daily Duties at Upmc:
Maintained real time and batch HL7/X12 interfaces supporting over 300 doctors offices, data feeds from 20 hospitals, and several public and private insurers. Performed cross platform testing with partners from Cerner and Medipac. Created routines, profile variables and overrides that ensured information integrity and transmitted data, summarized financial data and monitored interface capacity in support of ambulatory operations by utilizing knowledge of Epic’s data structure, intrinsic functions and the M language. Collaborated with client analysts and users to identify and affect workflow improvements. Ensured changes were made in accordance with the company’s Sarbanes-Oxley initiative and HIPPA. Authored and maintained support documentation, test plans and specification documents.
