Daily Duties at Tech Mahindra:

It is an independent component of GMSP (soft switch) is used to convert SIP specific messages (understand by SIP stack) to Platform specific messages (understand by soft switch) and vice versa. It has different components, Protocol Driver is used to interface with underlying SIP protocol stack. The Protocol State Sequencer maintains the connection/signaling states. Communication with mSC (multi Session Composer) of the soft switch was established and maintained by UPL (Universal Protocol Language) Adapter layer. Responsibilities: • Language C was used to code Protocol Driver, Protocol State Sequencer and UPL adapter layer. • Wrote socket programming for talking to mSC from UPL. • The voip protocol SIP was used for this protocol engine. • Debugged the application using gdb debugger. • Purify is used to check memory leakages. • Real time database Polyhedra was used as data storage. • ClearCase is used to maintain the version of the System. Environment: C, vi editor, gdb, Purify, SIP, ClearCase, SQL, Polyhedra, SOLARIS.
