Daily Duties at Wipro:
In wireless network the data traffic is handled through PDSN switch. It is the router or switch between the Wireless network and Internet, which is comprised of these key components: CDMA Packet Data Service Node (PDSN)/Mobile IP Foreign Agent (FA) and Mobile IP Home Agent (HA). The TCP/IP Header compression is specific to TCP/IP datagram. The compression reduces the normal 40-byte TCP/IP packet headers down to 3-4 bytes for the average case. It does this by saving the state of TCP connections at both ends of a link, and only sending the differences in the header fields that change. This makes a very big difference for interactive performance. Responsibilities: • Designed PDSN Mobile Api, PDSN BSS Api, Compressor and Decompressor modules. • Used Core Java for implementing Apis, Compressor and Decompressor modules. • Wrote SQL queries to retrieve data from Oracle database. • Used Starent’s PDSN switch for integration testing. • TCP/IP packets of ftp applications are used for performance testing for Compressor and Decompressor modules. • Eclipse 3.0 IDE is used for coding, running and debuging the application. • Wrote unit test cases to test different modules independently using JUnit. • CVS is used to maintain the version of the System. Environment: Java , OOAD, UML,Rational Rose, JUnit, Log4J, TCP/IP, PPP, L2TP, GRE, MobileIP, CVS, Eclipse 3.0, Clarify CRM, SQL, Oracle, ECUBE, Windows, SOLARIS, Linux.
