Daily Duties at Self:

Meet with clients to determine needs and scope of work. Negotiate contracts, discuss strategy, and develop timetables and job schedules. Produce all facets and manage all aspects of website design, including programming, photography, user interface design, debugging, and implementing changes from client. Project: www.walterthomasbrooks.com Co-designed and implemented website for notable San Francisco Bay organic architect Walter Thomas Brooks. Custom site design features two basic page layouts controlled by CSS and modified here and there to fit photographic content and design philosophy. Updating and adding content to site is ongoing. • Created site that met challenges of depicting the evolution of an architecture over a long career. Exoertly manipulated and optimized images taken over the course of many projects, updating them from old negatives to digital, then formatting to best represent the scope of Mr. Brooks’ work. • Managed all aspects of project, including programming and content editing –tagged it for SEO, ensuring that all images had tags, were suitably sized, and that everything was synchronized. Project: www.residentialappraisalsanfrancisomarin.com Developing website for provider of luxury real estate appraisals to clients in the San Francisco Bay area. • Built a well-received, custom site with a clean, elegant, professional look, as well as a focus on ease of use. Created a Flash appearance using HTML, and maintained consistency by use of CSS and Spry. • Delivered top quality appeal while adhering to strict budget guidelines. • Took all photos for site – continue to add and update content as needed to maintain relevancy. Project: www.swaidayoga.com Art and web designer for redesign of site devoted to swaida yoga in the Arabic language. • Maintained full-time usability throughout a complete redesign and upgrade of popular website for yoga in the Middle East. • Optmized usability and appeal – utilized JavaScript to incorporate new features, including interactive content and Spry containers, to maximize page space • Ensured owner’s ability to assume and continue site management by using Contribute CS4 (Adobe) to update the content. • Overcame language barriers, independently addressing challenges posed by Arabic text direction changes

The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision.
