Daily Duties at Avx Corporation:
Supervisor of the Analytical Laboratory – responsible for the day-to-day operations of the lab including maintenance & troubleshooting of all equipment, ordering supplies, hiring & reviewing technicians. ·Collaborate with the plant and R&D personnel to determine testing needs, plan for new product testing, recommend purchases of new equipment, set-up and qualification of new equipment and/or test methods used. ·Responsible for developing all of the test methods used on the Perkin Elmer Optima 3000 ICP. These methods include testing for: a)Experimental and in-production dielectric composition, b)Raw material quality assurance methods, c)Plating bath composition, d)Dielectric ink composition, e)Glass frit analysis. ·Responsible for the operation of the following equipment: GC, DSC, TGA, TMA, BET, Pycnometer density, Karl Fisher titration and Carbon/Sulfur & Oxygen/Nitrogen analyzers.
