Daily Duties at Paladin Press :
Design covers for perfect bound books. Layout book body including photos and illustrations. Design DVD case covers and DVD silks. Scan, repair, and correct photos and illustrations for digital printing. Update old files to new print specs. Track jobs. Assist the printshop and art/editorial departments in communication. Creating spread sheets for better communication. Help in printshop by cutting down stacks, running binder, trimming books, filling printers, loading jobs. Helping shipping by pulling orders, packaging and shipping orders, and helping DVD duplication by sending jobs, unfaulting duplicator, stuffing DVDs. All jobs require purchase order comprehension and time planning.
