Daily Duties at Wal Mart Distribution Centers:

I unloaded trucks using three different types of forklifts in this position I had to meet extreme production levels and utilize my teamwork skills to get the job done always putting safety first. I was in this position for 1 year I then transferred to a Customer Service position in the transportation department. In this position I was responsible for printing, releasing and checking all bill of lading for the proper pallet and claims loads being attached and everything in order for the driver coordinator's and the drivers. I was responsible for building and attaching pallet and claims loads and taking calls from the stores on any pallet and claims issues. I was responsible for helping the coordinator's with any overflow calls, updating trips, verifying trips, verifying T-pays and any other duties I may have been given from filing to creating new forms and helping managers with anything they requested help with. I was responsible for dispatching the set runs, working the Arc Report and helping with trailer tracking. I was responsible for handling all calls on my shift that were issues between the driver's and stores. Many times that included eliciting cooperation between both factions to get the job done as fast and efficiently as possible. In this position I learned many things about the different personality types and about conflict resolution and working with others as a team seeing problems as challenges to be overcome with solutions to handle many different issues. I took part in realignment as needed and helped any one with many various task.
