Daily Duties at Bay Area Sports Organizing Committee:
A 501-(C-3) non-profit organization whose mission is to bring the Olympic Games to the San Francisco Bay Area. • Directed all marketing, branding, community outreach, donor relationship management, and produced all major fundraising events for BASOC in the Bid for 2012 US Candidate City. • Raised over $2 million in financial contributions & in-kind products, managed overall media outreach, advertising, graphic design, public relations and commercials for television and radio. • Created, produced and directed the annual BASOC annual celebrity golf tournaments. Recruited all corporate sponsors and athletes for this ongoing special event. • Negotiated $1.5M in contracts and managed the overall production, design & printing of the SF 2012 Olympic Bid (3 volumes), the Bid Addendum (300+ pages), Executive Summary and all collateral materials. • Managed and directed all graphic design programs including the Bid City poster series with 12 world-class Bay Area designers. Produced four major community events around this project. • Served as key liaison and logistics planner with security agencies, transportation companies, accommodations, and sports venues for United States Olympic Committee (USOC) site visits. • Acted as a community spokesperson for BASOC addressing many non-profits, political and community organizations. Interfaced with the BASOC 125 member Board of Directors. • Trained, recruited and retained hundreds of volunteers for special projects. Worked with a diverse group of Northern California political leaders and their staffs from the state, county and city levels on behalf of the Olympic Bid.
