Daily Duties at Cequent Pharmaceuticals, Inc.:
• Reported to the Group Leader of Microbiology • Cloned and purified recombinant proteins. • Tissue culture (gentamycin protection assays) • Developed auxotrophic bacterial strains (genomic mutations) • Developed assay to detect presence of shRNA hairpin cloned in plasmid (submitted as a patent) • Optimize expression of key therapeutic drug protein components • Growth optimization of bacterial strains (complex and defined growth medium)
