Daily Duties at Capital One:
Installed, designed, implemented and maintained the metadata environment for Capital One Financial Services. Integrated disparate metadata sources, primarily Ab Initio, Oracle, Teradata and DB2, also including ERWin/Model Mart and in-house developed PeopleSoft applications. Assisted in the development and testing of client specific Java applications for the Loading of metadata, Transfer of database specific technical metadata, Reconciliation of business and technical data and the Promotion of objects across the system development life cycle. Primary technical liaison between the Data Stewardship team and nearly 1000 end users. Maintained the entire repository environment across multiple Unix, Windows and Web servers and Windows 2000, XP and Vista clients, including database performance tuning (compression, defragmentation, integrity, memory), user creation and deletion, user and business role assignment, backup/recovery, fix application, release management and environment compatibility. Exclusive interface between Capital One and vendor development and professional services teams. Key Accomplishments: · Brought Meta Repository into production at Capital One in 1 month. · Maintained the entire environment · Highest customer satisfaction record of any application in the Data Stewardship domain.
