Daily Duties at Hewlett Packard:

Worked in the team which was responsible for Printer firmware development. Printer firmware handles all the process of printing a job, once received by the printer. It handles interpreting of the job into device understandable commands, this is known as rasterisation of the print job. It also ink supplies known as supply management, paper handling etc Responsibilities: • Worked on a component in the printer firmware called Supply Management which is responsible for ink supplies in the printer.. • Wrote Unit-Tests for Code Coverage. Responsibilities: • Involved in coding, design, code reviews for fellow engineers, bug fixing, project planning. • Make QuarkXPress 8.0 Unicode compliant • Developed Class diagrams using Rational Rose. • Involved in fixing memory leaks, improving performance for the product using tools like Gflags, Object Alloc. • Used Singleton, Visitor Design-Patterns for Refactoring existing legacy code. • Writing Unit-Tests for Code Coverage.
