Supervised a group of 12 employees that was responsible for the support and maintenance for 95 file servers that supported the Sun’s board test area of over 1800 diskless and diskful clients. The group was responsible to support manufacturing 24 hours a day 7 days a week, and maintained a server up time of 99.3%. Conducted capacity planning of the file servers to support the growth of the printed circuit board production facility. Also developed programs and shell scripts as required by the manufacturing floor. As new operating systems were released and modified the operating system to support the manufacturing floor and office area. Maintained data collection and user file servers for the support of the manufacturing floor. Designed two new computer rooms and communication panels. Moved into one new computer room with no loss of production time or capacity during the move.
