Daily Duties at Townsend And Townsend And Crew:
• Receive and report USPTO and international patent office correspondence to clients. • Communicate and work with foreign counsel regarding local trademark matters, including filing applications, responding to office actions, resolving conflicts and renewing registrations. • File new applications with the USPTO as well as renewal applications, affidavits of use, and petitions to revive. • Responsible for gathering filing particulars for new applications from clients including specimens, owners and intended use. • Research status of trademark applications using TARR and TESS; communicate with clients regarding same. • Draft routine correspondence, memoranda, and other legal communications. • Support the trademark group personnel with tasks as assigned and maintain trademark prosecution docket for trademark group partner. • Strong proficiency with MS Outlook, Filesite, Legal Key
