Daily Duties at Cifg N.A. :
A bond insurer, which provides financial guaranties on municipal, structured finance and project finance bonds, with approximately $1 billion of capital. Director – U.S. Securitization Group Recruited by this start-up monoline insurer as member of team responsible for establishing structured finance practice. Initial responsibilities focused on introducing aviation securitization product to management as precursor to seeking/winning mandates and booking transactions. Subsequent responsibilities included product research and development, introduction of emerging market and esoteric structured finance transactions and all aspects of product/deal management (from pre-mandate to closing of transaction) related processes. • Established aviation practice, which resulted in generation of approximately $20 million of adjusted gross premium. • Introduced emerging-markets export receivables product establishing market coverage for Company, • Developed solid network of contacts among clients and investment banks underwriting transactions in Brazil and Turkey, which led to more than $700 million in mandates, and • Gained approval for four Brazilian and two Turkish export receivables transactions resulting in four closed transactions earning $30 million in adjusted gross premium for Company or 15% of Company’s revenue in 15 months.
