Daily Duties at Abbott Laboratories:
• Install and configure LDAP utilizing OID. • Utilize RMAN to duplicate Production environment across SAP QA and Training landscapes. • Implement firewall pass-thru solution for connecting global databases utilizing connection manager. • Install and implement company wide names server. • Perform requested system copies /refreshes routinely to targeted systems in SAP Landscape. • Perform database health checks, identify areas of performance tuning at database and application level using standard sapgui transactions. • Perform database restores utilizing BRBACKUP and RMAN on Solaris 2.8. • Manage database access using secure application roles. • Provided security administration utilizing radius on Solaris 2.6. • Developed PL/SQL packages. Developed load procedures using SQLLoader. Created procedures to handle raw data loads using PL/SQL and SQR. • Tracked, recommended, and implemented Application/Database upgrades and patches. • Performed database tuning, developed database reorganization procedures, database alert scripts, monitoring scripts and backup procedures. • Developed and improved database administrative programs, which were a combination of Perl, and/or UNIX bash shell executing on Solaris 2.6.
