Daily Duties at Dataplay, Inc.:
Primary responsibility to assure the quality of critical high-precision components used in the manufacture of a novel micro-optical storage device the size of a matchbox. • Experience with SPC, gage capability studies, and correlation studies • Extensive experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5M-1994) • Supported R&D via test and inspection of prototype optical/mechanical components • Maintained correspondence with suppliers regarding CAs and FAIs, and supported supplier quality analysis • Maintained calibration of Nikon CMM and developed automated inspection programs • Trained SQEs and technicians to perform mechanical/optical inspections
