Daily Duties at Child & Youth Services:
I am responsible for the SKIES unlimited program, I provide youth activities that complement, supplement and support the formal education process through the Schools of Sports, Fitness and Health (e.g. Martial Arts, Capoiera, Gymnastics, First Aid / CPR classes) Mentoring, Intervention and Education Support Services; Arts, Recreation and Leisure Activities (e.g. music, dance, video production) and Life Skills, Citizenship and Leadership opportunities (e.g. Driver's Education, Tutoring, Cooking, Swimming). I coordinate all facility transportation, special events, recitals, equipment / supplies, recruit instructors, and I develop MOA's (memorandum of Agreement) with other agencies such as USO. I develop budget requirements to support instructional programs and seek approval from my supervisor. I establish lesson fees, class size and I set up the activities in CYMS. I act as the COR (Contractor Officer Representative) to ensure the contractor performs his or her duties in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract. I develop marketing materials and provide input to the marketing department to ensure widest dissemination within the community. I prepare reports, information papers, briefing slides and brief them to command.
