Republic is a privately held investment company with ownership interests in operating companies across diversified industries, as well as investments in distressed commercial debt, aviation, and equipment lease portfolios. *Developed the human resources acquisition strategy to maximize portfolio value. Conducted due diligence for 10 different potential acquisitions (five acquired), developed ERISA risk mitigation strategies, and conducted assessment/recommendations for HR staffing and structure in portfolio companies. *Redesigned annual All Employee Meeting to dramatically increase the value to the company. In each of the two years of managing the project, over 98% of employees reported that the meeting “was a valuable experience for me.” *Developed and launched company-wide succession planning program to ease turnover transition and provide valuable employee development opportunities. *Launched partnership with ghSMART to upgrade all talent management processes, assess management teams of portfolio companies, and conduct comprehensive assessments of key hires. *Developed compensation and title structure to manage equity within the organization and attract top talent. *Participated in team that earned Republic a finalist position (three finalists out of over 120 nominees) in the 2004 and 2005 BBB Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics.
