Daily Duties at American Axle And Manufacturing:

Responsible for supervising and training operators and entry level senior mechanical technicians on operating procedures and safety practices. Provide daily set up and maintenance of industrialized precision machinery such as robotics, cnc's and heat treat to produce axles for General Motors, Chrysler and Ford Motor Company. Work closely with senior management and engineers to troubleshoot, enhance productivity and quality assurance in the overall performance of production. Oversee the job performance and profitability. Establish work group goals, coordinate work assignments and implement any corrective actions that occur on the line. Enforce, maintain and interpret SPC (statistical process control) on every process.
