Daily Duties at Rite Aid Pharmacy (Retail):

Pharmacy Technician Performing duties assigned by the pharmacist that included : ·Assured accuracy and determined formulas and ingredients needed. ·Compounding of medications by weighing, measuring and mixing ingredients. ·Dispensing medication : collecting customer information & making computerized labels for new Prescriptions. ·Operating the RADS system - inclusive of entering data for new customers, updating customer information ,Price check for medication, online orders from warehouse & outside vendors. Inventory management , checking for & transfer of expired medications on a monthly basis, Transfer of damaged & over-stocked medications to warehouse. ·Finalizing all invoices received from outside vendors for medications ordered. ·Maintainance of established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances , logging in invoice details, quantity received , quantity dispensed for controlled substances in CII log book. ·Entered data such as patient name, prescribed medication and cost in order to maintain pharmacy files, charge system and inventory. ·Checking for aging prescriptions, filled vials with prescribed medication. ·Handling high volume of calls, cash register & customer service. ·Monthly check for outdated medicines.
