Daily Duties at Corpus Christi Medical Center:
Provided administrative support to the Director of Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement. Served as liaison in communications with hospital staff, administrative team, medical staff and the community. Coordinated (15) monthly, bi-monthly and quarterly medical staff meetings (i.e. oversee catering, room reservations, obtaining guest speakers, preparation and dissemination of packets, transcribing minutes. Maintained documents within JCAHO standards. Coordinated the Complaints/Grievances process (i.e. received patient/visitor complaints via the facility Help Line, created incident reports based on information received, interacted with department directors for resolutions) Created and maintained schedule of all physician committee and interdisciplinary meetings. Maintained hospital-wide policies and procedures through Sharepoint. Prepared the Medical Executive Committee Summary Report for presentation to the Governing Board. Assumed responsibility to coordinate support services for the department in the absence of the director. Maintained confidentiality of protected health information. Knowledgeable of processes used for identifying quality issues and implementing corrective measures. Assisted JCAHO Surveyors during 2003 survey. Maintained familiarity with HIPAA laws/guidelines.
