Daily Duties at Vitas Innovative Hospice Care:

Recruited to direct the largest and most profitable continuous care program with over 200 direct reports and staffing from over 10 agencies. Maintained accountability for operations management functions as well as coordination of staffing, recruiting, training and development, fiscal reporting problem solving, chart auditing, quality assurance , regulatory compliance, patient advocacy/customer service and policy/and procedure development. Succeeding in increasing census growth since joining the organization in 2005. Admissions Nurse County wide responsibility. Maintained flexibility working second shift schedule to accommodate family schedules Continuously sought to professionally represent organization. Preformed onsite assessment of patients to determine appropriateness for hospice services. Interfaced with physicians, admissions coordinator, team managers, and pharmacists regarding admission, initial plan of care and medical orders. Liaised with Bereavement Services.
