Daily Duties at Pratt & Whitney And Pratt :

• Performed thermostructural analyses for the jet engine combustors for the AATE, ILC, and Talon X programs and augmentor duct for the F119 program. Developed 3D finite element models for the purpose of evaluating structural integrity and lifing calculation of the hardware. Linear and nonlinear ANSYS and LS-Dyna codes were used for the analyses. Presented analysis results to various levels of design reviews. • Prepared and provided statement of work and directions of analysis for the outsourced structural analysis tasks, whose results were also review the for completeness within the budget on the ILC Combustor and F119 Combustor. • NX4 Advanced Simulation module was evaluated and used for more efficient 3D mesh generation of combustors for thermo-structural analyses using the ANSYS solver and of a fan blades model for bird-strike analysis using the LS-DYNA solver. • Performed lifing calculation of the NGF 8000 TEC using thermo-structural analysis results.
