Daily Duties at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital:
Received report from off-going RN, triaged patients and got vital signs. Assessed vented patients if they could communicate for comfort, assessed O2 saturation, pain, skin assessment for signs of breakdown on bed-restricted patients. Other patients, not on vents, were then assessed and then vital signs were taken and added into the computer chart if not already delegated. All patients were asked for comfort level. Medication was distributed between 9am-10am for all patients on the unit. Participated in daily meetings with the health care team, MD, dietician, Medical Social Worker, Case Manager and primary RN.
