Daily Duties at University Of Southern Mississippi Gc:
For the Culinary Arts Academy: Publicize program, recruit students, interview prospective students, write curriculum, schedule and conduct classes. Purchasing and inventory. Arrange field trips, special programs, work with community programs and associations. Planned and executed the monthly spot on WLOX television, wrote biweekly newspaper column for the Sun Herald and the Bay Press; In addition, wrote and hosted weekly spots on WUSM radio. Ensured day-to-day class organization, and administration of classes. Recruited and assisted adjunct faculty as needed as well as recruited guest speakers. Worked in concert with the Public Relations Director for special events on and off campus. Assisted Director of Public Relations with presentation of a business manners class to local high school students. For Food Service: Duties included writing menus, purchasing all supplies, inventory, schedule writing, hiring and dismissal of employees. Insure maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment. Write daily and special function menus, and assist kitchen personnel with food preparation and presentation of food. Assisted in planning special events with the Sales Department. Oversaw special functions.
