Daily Duties at Cimarex Energy:
Provided executive-level assistance to CIO in creation of IT strategic direction, senior-level presentations, enterprise Disaster Recovery Plan, business evaluation of software tools and business process improvement. * KPMG, Deloitte and Internal Audit’s liaison. Ensured IT’s compliance and implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley 404 financial audit requirements, documentation and due diligence processes. Audit findings reduced from 25+ to 2 minor findings in 2009. * Guided IT Managers and staff through quarterly self-assessments of IT controls and control activities document updates, refined control activities and implemented IT risk assessment process thus reducing the impact on It resources. * Conducted physical and logical access audits including documentation of processes, security reviews and coordination of inter-departmental efforts. Security findings reduced to process improvement areas. * Managed short-term projects interfacing with IT and affected business units – eDiscovery, Time & Attendance Management, On-boarding, etc. Implemented solution for Legal department to address eDiscovery requirements by indexing enterprise files, legal hold process and email archiving.
