Daily Duties at Lakewood Mechanical Inc:

Supervised LMI subcontractors coordinated project activities on a day to day basis. Maintained daily communication with the various subs to communicate progress, scheduling, lead times, technical problems and 0solution. Attended meetings with owners, engineers, architects, general contractors and other interested parties. Responsible for final inspection approval. Paid strict attention to job specifications, manufacturer’s recommendations including installation protocol , test methodology and technical parameters specified. Worked with foreman, field superintendent, general contractors and design engineers as liaison between management and field supervisors for pipe fitting crews, duct installation crews, and welders on daily basis to assure the construction of the HVAC chill water environmental systems. Oversaw daily activities of all company employees on various job sites. Subs included insulators, building controls, air balance techs and vendor reps. Worked closely with other trade foreman and superintendents coordinating various activities to prevent trades from running into each other and causing bottle necks. Communicated job status problems, resolutions and requirements to LMI project management through verbal and written communications Maintained detailed activity journals, notes of meetings and various other contact information of potential value. . Scheduled and coordinated planning of various vendor technical rep activities to maintain project schedules . Attended meetings of general contractor, site superintendents, architects, engineers and other owner reps reporting job status, problems, resolutions, personnel requirements and coordinating other trades with our requirements where possible. Prepared material takeoffs for all DX system materials. Installed DX system refrigerant piping as well as all phases of RTU installation, computer room Liebert units, directed the assembly and construction of large air handling units, rooftop unit installations, install, test, align and startup loop pumps, VAVs, CAVs, VFDs. Worked on cooling tower construction, test and start up , verified building automation (tower loop sensors and controls) was correct for ambient temps and schedules. Checked all loop valves, sensors, modulators, both mechanical and electronic. Verified dampers primary sensors and controls for startup. Ultimately responsible for commissioning of complex engineered HVAC systems. Performed service and warranty repair, performed and supervised punch list at job completion. Responsible through out the project for recognizing and correcting conflicts in design or construction including the identification of and assisting appropriate parties in resolving design issues when they arose. Kept track of subcontractor hours and personnel on site, the progress made by each on a daily and weekly basis which was reported Project Manager and Superintendent.
