Daily Duties at Adesa:

Software Support Specialist, 2002 – 2004 Responsible for training automobile auction staff at new corporate acquisitions on proprietary company software that was designed for business automation in the office and the auction block. Later supported the same software in non-tiered environment. ▪ Coordinated development resources for escalated issues to provide resolution in a timely manner. ▪ Supported proprietary auction software to internal staff to create corporate-wide understanding of its use. ▪ Became subject matter expert by combining understanding of operations obtained through trainer position that resulted in outstanding support that met staff needs increasing software efficiency. Software Trainer, 2000-2002 Responsible for setup network in a training environment including IP addressing, establishing trusts over network to give access to corporate resources in training network. Trained staff at on site and remote locations completing 6 full business conversions. Troubleshot hardware on training PC’s. ▪ Successfully created and managed logins in XP, NT, SQL, and Active Directory. ▪ Learned auction operations and how new auction software affected users to schedule and prioritize over 40 training classes per training cycle. ▪ Created problem scenarios for participants tailored to the staff location and created highly relevant documentation and training materials. ▪ Instructed individuals with diverse age and ability ranges and thoroughly prepared each person for new responsibilities. ▪ Used innovative teaching methods, especially for people with minimal technical ability that successfully brought staff member up to the required skill level.
