Director of Special Events: Period of Performance: FT - 2000-2003 Managed 10-15 conference special events personnel. Charged with facility selection, marketing, communications, budget and revenue maintenance. Devised bid packages, negotiated contracts, coordinated on-site logistics, and managed attendee registration procedures. Major Contributions: • Monitored event activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, satisfaction of participants, and immediate resolution of emergent problems. • Managed event related expenses and reviewed bills for accuracy to ensure correct invoicing. • Planned and developed programs, agendas, budgets, and services according to customer requirements. • Initiated and managed event calendars and ensured proper event close out procedures. • Implemented and coordinated tradeshow logistics, marketing activities, and onsite management. Followed up with tradeshow leads to generate new business. • Recognized for outstanding administration of vendor / subcontractor contracts and budgets. • Perform other general administrative duties and projects as assigned.
