Daily Duties at Las Colinas Medical Center:
LAS COLINAS MEDICAL CENTER DATE: 10/2007 – 03/2009 6800 N. MacArthur Blvd. Irving,Tx. 75039 TITLE: Cardiopulmonary Manager DUTIES: Staffed ICU,NICU,PCU,E.R., and floors with respiratory therapists. Participated in multidisciplinary meetings, as well as administrative leadership and nursing leadership meetings. Participated in CV steering committees, and assisted in the change of service processes. Worked closely with administration and directors in improving current processes in order to optimize patient care. Assumed departmental coverage for EKGs in order to assist the cardiology department. Started a complete PFT lab in order to accommodate the desires of cardiac surgeons and pulmonologists. Participated in interdisciplinary meetings. Worked closely with physicians in developing therapist driven protocols. Key accomplishments: 1)adjusted staffing in order to eliminate use of agency staff that was routinely used by the former manager, 2) started complete PFT lab that had not been available for physicians for a couple of months, and gained associated service recovery, 3) instrumental in improved employee satisfaction survey, as well as patient satisfaction survey concerning our department, 4) assisted with improvement of service process concerning outpatient surgery with very positive feedback from all customers, 5) assisted with reportedly “huge” improvement in employee morale.
