Daily Duties at Alpine Electronics:
Applied hands-on skills to drive navigation software projects and direct staff of up to 20 Engineers. Skills acquired: Windows CE development, External Customer Relations, Quality Assurance • Developed, debugged, and released embedded real-time processing and user interface software components for in-car and portable Navigation products. • Managed many projects and contributed as hands-on developer for multiple software delivery projects to Mercedes Benz and Honda Motor Co. • Engineered Windows CE based embedded systems using Visual Studio and C++. Created UML designs, developed and tested software that performed driving route calculations and displayed turn-by-turn graphical instructions. • Debugged software manually and built automated testing & analysis tools in C# to collect runtime information from Windows CE target platform to PC host. Developed multi-threaded Windows Forms applications for severity analysis and error visualization tools. • Won Gold Medal for successful software project that was critical for market release of Mercedes Benz navigation product. Enabled $200M in product revenues for Alpine. • Coached, mentored, evaluated and supervised engineering employees, including coordinating team building for 50 cross-department engineers. • Trained and encouraged Agile collaboration style and Scrum software collaboration tools.
