Daily Duties at Horizon Grouop Usa:

– Managed the demand planning analyst s in creating demand side sales forecasts for sales and production planning purposes. Directed the production of detailed trend analyses, that predicts and explains how the business is expected to perform.. Forecasts are used to schedule physical, human and ERP resources required to manufacture product and meet Horizon’s service standard. My key role was the implementation and launch of the Jon Galt planning system. The system incorporated a variety of data sources, including production trends, consumption trends, sales data, marketing plans, economic trend expectations, etc., arriving at a monthly and 18 month rolling sales and production sales forecast. This allowed the utilization of the Management of Change (MOC) process for post-operational assessment. • Managed and developed Supply Chain staff (Procurement Manager and 2 buyers), and 3 demand forecast analysts. • Financial budget and inventory analysis involving 15000 active SKU’s, with 25% new SKU’s per year for five business units. • Lead continuous improvement by driving plant specific initiatives and acting as the conduit for best practice syndication of best practices amongst plants • Lead and managed the project implementation of the John Galt forecasting system including CCP and Inventory Management. • Developed, and implement all policies and procedures surrounding our procurement, contract management, and service level monitoring processes. • Monitor inbound ocean/air freight shipments of bulk materials through customs and into the supply chain (China, Vietnam etc). • Coordination of the forecasts for new product rollouts based on trends in historic data including EOL recognition. • Continuous improvement skills in Forecast variance and accuracy with cause effect analysis. o In comparison with POS, customer forecasts, on-hand inventory and data. o Statistical forecast Vs trend forecasts. • Strengthened companies ability to achieve “Lowest Total Cost to Serve” globally through working in partnership with our four regions to improve supply chain processes through the use of systems and best practice sharing. • Developed and implement strategies to impove import supply chain process and container availability. • Formulated programs, policies and procedures to maintain the organization's competitive position and profitability, direct and controls materials management for the company, and provides the overall direction for the Supply Chain function globally. • Coordinated supply chain activities with other functions, established priorities for projects and monitored expenditures and progress towards goals.
