Daily Duties at Connolly & Callahan:
Attorney: The practice consisted primarily of defense of liability claims for the Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, the Middlesex Mutual Assurance Company and the Hanover Insurance Company, both first and third party general liability. Responsibilities included; file evaluation, preparation of opinion letters to carriers as to liability and value of the claim, guiding activities of investigators and conducting the defense of claims. The latter including drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, including both standard and drafted interrogatories and deposing claimants and witnesses, appearances at short calendar and attending pre trial conferences. The firm also conducted a general practice including commercial litigation, probate practice and residential and commercial real estate.
